Analia Carreño and Luis Ramirez are a charismatic, passionate and virtuous young tango couple from Argentina.
Furthermore, they are masters, choreographers, founders and directors of ConjuroTango. In their work, they apply all the knowledge they have
from different dance disciplines to tango, strongly enriching the dynamic of this dance without losing its essence, the real heart of traditional
tango.They started dancing together in 2005 when they joined Señor Tangos (the most important Tango show in BA) ensemble, where they
have been performing until 2010. They began their international career joining the world known Tanguera, Tango Emotion and Señor Tango
companies and touring with them Brazil, Germany, Russia and China. Since 2008, they have been filming special TV programs in BA streets
for the TV chain Telefe International, as the leading stars. In 2008, they created their own company and launched the first ConjuroTango Show
at the famous steak house La Cabaña located in Buenos Aires. During all these years, they have also been devoted to teaching in Argentina,
China, Korea and Japan, where they have been until the end of 2009 performing, teaching and organizing milongas. ConjuroTango leading
dancers, Analia and Luis have a modern, dynamic and passionate style. In 2011, premiered ConjuroTango "A new story about Tango..."
with a fusion of tango and flamenco. For the 2012 they will debut "Timeless the second show of ConjuroTango, for 2013 "Warriors".

What is tango? :
AC: Tango is the music that runs through our veins, we were born in Buenos Aires.
tango is what you can see in people walking the streets, on their faces, in their tired steps, Argentina breaths tango.
LR: Tango is life, everything that you experienced in your life is reflected in your dance, that is tango.
Why ConjuroTango?:
AC: when we started dancing tango together, the magic of tango involved us in an irresistible attraction, a deep surrender, like a spell
LR: When I was 18, I started my career as a magician, magic is very passionate, years later I met Analia and the tango and I felt the same passion, it was like a spell about the world of tango, so we decided to name our company ConjuroTango.
Conjurotango is to create a new generation of tango
New Generation?:
AC: Is a new generation of artists that believe in the respect of the roots of tango but also want to innovate, create and make tango evolute for the future.
LR: A new generation conjurotango means that merging the arts.
in our first show to fuse flamenco with tango, our shows include acting training that makes a big difference, is not just tango there is something else, for our show for example, we prepare in martial arts, that's part of a new generation , of course respecting the roots of tango.
Apart of ConjuroTango , do you have nine differents shows?
AC: Yes, these shows are a exclusive creation that we have built in the past few years wich reflect our different vision and feelings about tango.
LR: 9 shows, I can not believe and go for more!
In our search to investigate the different feelings, we find these nine thematic tango shows. is a way to express what the tango means to us, we do all kinds of stage tango, salon, elegant, in other words tango.
Stage Tango or Salon tango?:
AC: Both, tango salon has the enchantement of the improvisation, the freshness, what comes up to your mind in the moment with the music.
About what we prepare for the stage, is a more elaborated dance in which we apply all the knowledge we have from the different arts in which we have been researching all our lives
LR: Now a days there are many varieties of tango, and the question is "what style of tango dancing?" For me tango is one and is personal, you're different from me, so the tango is unique it can not be pigeonholed in a word, I prefer the tango
Analia Carreño is an international dancer and choreographer.
She started his passion for dance since she was very young at the age of four.
She hardly studied ballet, jazz, flamenco, latin dances andtango with argentinean and
foreigner masters.
She performed at the famous theatres of Corrientes Avenue as “El nacional”and “Luna park”.
She also took part in many TV programmes with international
renowned singers as Jon Secada and Ricky Martin.
His international career began in Madrid, Spain with the famous
show “Forever Liza” by Frankie Kein. Then she toured with thetango company “Tanguera”
through Chile and Mexico.
As a chopreographer she made the choreography for
“Roots of Tango” and "Arrabal"of the tango singer Zully Goldfarb.
She joined to Luis Ramirez in 2005 to create theiramazing tango couple.
Luis Ramirez is a dancer,musician, choreographerand magician.
He includes in his studies different dance
styles as jazz, flamenco and tango.
As a magician, he started his artistic career with the art of prestidigitation and card’s and
object’s manipulation.
After having studied for many years with the most prestigeous
teachers of Argentina, in 2000, he gained professional respect
being the protagonist of the play about the poet
Federico.Garcia Lorca’s life, where he developed all his
skills for flamenco.
He continued working in his sucessfull career, taking part in
many famous TV programmes and dancing at important theatres in Argentina as Gran Rex
and Luna Park.
In 2005 he joined Analia Carreño and they created together a
new tango dance couple as
“Analia and Luiggi”.
A new story of Tango...
ConjuroTango tells the story of Amador, a young spanish
man who arrives to Buenos Aires, Argentina looking foward
to a heartening new life.
He secretly hopes to find his brother, Salvador , to heal
the pain of his stong uprooting feeling .
Amador discovers in the suburbs, that law of the underword
where his brother lives, is based on violence,
prostitution and knifes fights. In his way of recovering his honor, he cantt help
falling in love with Grisel , a young woman who
cleans the cabaret whe he used to spend the nights.
Amador doesnt inmediatly find the happiness in this
new word and he has to afford moments of tension in his
comfrontation with The Tajo(Scareface), a mafia boss in
shady deals.
Sequence of love ,passion , threat, betray revenge
and anger will be hapenning along story , ConjuroTango.
CONJUROTANGO
is created by Analia Carreno and Luis Ramirez in March 2005 in the southern city of Buenos Aires, where he is currently the headquarters of ConjuroTango.
Then began the road ConjuroTango a totally independent and remains so to this day, the first show was performed by students ConjuroTango full house, was an unforgettable moment.
In 2006 we were called by a producer for an exclusive show in a theater projects designed to tango, to begin trials of a work, but soon the project was canceled, we were 4 couples.
time passed and creativity flying everywhere, we were going interspersed with various companies touring and dancing tango in the best tango houses of Buenos Aires, was well as create a show about two couples that call, "Conjurotango Buenos Aires" which we did for a year at a recognized secluded place, then travel to Japan and met there for an exclusive show "Conjurotango Buenos Aires", in Fukuoka, Japan, while the same show in Buenos Aires was still working with two different partners, the boy show lasted almost two years held twice a week.
right from the beginning we wanted something different, without losing the roots merge, change without falling into nonsense tends to happen often.
We started to compose music for a revolutionary new show, unfortunately once again serious archiving, so that the future embrace.
Years would pass until the script would come a new work this time merged with the art of flamenco, where we create characters for the entire cast, a story filled with scenes of passion, love, revenge, tango and flamenco in a story that reveals the worlds of tango and flamenco in a unique way.
Our race would take us to Japan, China and South Korea as teachers and tango artists.
among many kilometers you writes, we designed were creating "a new history of tango ..." until at last the time would come six sites of artists movilzar an orchestra of five musicians and two singers who made it possible to CONJUROTANGO new story of tango becomes a reality in March 2010 at the Globe Theatre, then once more travel to play us east but without the company ConjuroTango, returning from an extensive tour of one year by Japan South Korea and China began testing a new Conjurotango story of tango ... also in March 2011 but this time, there began the full implementation of the work, costumes, lighting engineers, sound engineers, stage manager, stage direction that would lead to release the September 23, 2011 in Beijing China, there would begin a tour of 6 cities in China that incuiria Dalian, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Nanjing, ending the tour at the first festival of tango in Shanghai, the tour was a complete success and q is the first time fused tango and flamenco in a only, this is how I conclude in 2011, now in 2012 we prepare to launch the world our second show called "Timeless" where once again fused the tango, not time.
